One of the most creative shows on television is back for a second season. Season 2 of La Brea picks up where season 1 left off, with the Harris family and other survivors continuing their stories from the aftermath of the tragedy.
The mere fact that a massive sinkhole has opened up in the center of a densely populated area of Los Angeles is cause for concern; but, when that sinkhole is revealed to be a gateway to an ancient planet, things take on an entirely another tone. The survivors’ greatest hardship is being separated from the people they care about most in the world.

La Brea Season 2 Plot
It’s impossible to predict the direction of season 2 of La Brea, but the cliffhangers from the previous season provide plenty of hints. A few of our heroes made it through one of the mysterious portals at the end of the series, so we’ll be keeping tabs on their adventures in the new world.
Three of the group went via the Topanga gateway, and the other three risked everything on the new Seattle gateway in an attempt to rescue them. To get to 1988, the season’s dramatic climax, Natalie pushed Isaiah to his limits.
Researchers are finding some information on the portals, but many questions remain unanswered. Season 2 of La Brea will undoubtedly address some of your concerns, but as the episodes continue, I have no doubt that many more will arise.

La Brea Season 2 Cast
Season 2 of La Brea will feature returns from all of the series’ principal cast members. Some of the actors in the ensemble are Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, Diesel La Torraca, Jack Martin, Michelle Vergara Moore, and others.
It was announced in July 2022 that Jonno Roberts would play James Mallet in the sequel. Given that some of these folks have apparently jumped through a wormhole in time and space to who knows where else, you can also expect some further new recruits.

How Many Episodes Will Be in La Brea Season 2?
Season 2 will feature 14 episodes, a 40 percent increase from Season 1’s 10. (There might be a “catch,” though…)
Those of you who are complaining, “That’s still not enough!” should know that this is not the type of show that will have seasons with 20 episodes.
Will the Show Again Shoot in Australia?
Or maybe the company is trying to save money by moving production to Vancouver. Not to worry, Down Under will still be Down Under while also being the Land Down Under (and 12,000 years to the left). David Appelbaum, creator and co-showrunner of La Brea, gushes, “Australia is a beautiful place to shoot.”
Australia was picked for Season 1 partly for its visual appeal but also as part of Universal Studios Group’s objective to invest in high-end scripted programs in the country. Natural beauty abounds in the area, making it an excellent choice for the period of about 10,000 B.C. The executive producer also praises the “very experienced [local] teams, too, that have stepped up at every point” in Australia.
