Black Adam has transitioned over time from one of DC Comics’ supervillains to one of its most powerful antiheroes, and when he makes his big-screen debut on October 21, the movie version of the character will fall into the latter category as opposed to the former.

Oh, don’t worry, Dwayne Johnson’s musclebound figure will upset the hierarchy of the DC Universe (at least in terms of powerful characters), but he won’t be all that sinister in his intentions and deeds.
