On ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ Selma Blair Had a Personal High Score: “You Were Simply Amazing.”

Monday night’s episode of Dancing With the Stars featured Selma Blair at the top of her game. The actress, who has Multiple Sclerosis, has once again moved audiences with her bravery and perseverance in the face of adversity. This week, she had to perform a quickstep to The Muppets Show theme.

Saying, “This is going to be a challenge keeping my thoughts on task and my left leg,” Blair acknowledged the difficulty he would face. But now I must risk everything by declaring, “Go for it!”

Blair performed nearly flawlessly despite having a medical issue that hinders her motor skills. Fans and critics alike were blown away by the performance.

Bruno Tonioli remarked, “How did you manage the footwork so well?” You made no blunders at all.

Carrie Anne Inaba, a judge, was similarly moved by Blair’s resilience despite her own struggles with a variety of autoimmune disorders.

Inaba remarked, “I get a little nervous when I see you sometimes.” I am concerned for you. You have my concern. I watched it again tonight and didn’t get that emotion at all because you were so fantastic.

Even though Blair made headlines last week for his blindfolded performance, he still had not gotten a score higher than a seven in the tournament. This week, though, the judges gave her a perfect score of eight to reflect her progress. A total score of 32 is her best of the year thus far.
