The American procedural action drama TV show S.W.A.T. is based on the same-named 1975 TV show created by Robert Hamner and developed by Rick Husky. The new series was created by Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and Shawn Ryan. It debuted on CBS on November 2, 2017, and is made by Original Film, CBS Studios, and Sony Pictures Television.

The show was picked up for a third season on October 2, 2019, after CBS renewed it on May 9, 2019. CBS picked up the show for a fourth season in May 2020. The new season started on November 11, 2020. About S.W.A.T.
