Originally, Lionsgate was going to distribute Benoit Blanc’s second film, but that did not end up happening. In a plot twist fit for an Agatha Christie novel, Netflix reportedly outbid Lionsgate for the film, paying $469 million for the rights to both of the planned sequels.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Cast and Character

Jamie Lee Curtis, who as Linda Drysdale, even dispelled rumours of the Thrombey family’s comeback to the big screen in an Instagram picture that suggests they spent some time away from Benoit Blanc and in therapy.

When and Where Was the Glass Onion Movie Made?

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Plot
Uncertainty surrounds it. Not a clever enough joke, you say? Sorry. But, to be frank, we just don’t know. Johnson and the cast have been protective of the movie’s secrets (for obvious reasons), but certain details have leaked out.
Since Knives Out 2 isn’t a sequel, we know that Marta and the obnoxious Thrombeys won’t be making a return appearance. Instead, it will be Benoit’s own movie that stands on its own.
Johnson told The Hollywood Reporter that viewers should “think of it just like another Hercule Poirot novel from Agatha Christie, so a whole new location, whole new cast,” suggesting that the film would be similar to the Christie classics but with a new setting and cast.
The name of the mysterious film is also known to us. Johnson announced the title of the sequel to Knives Out on June 13, 2022: “Glass Onion: A Knives Out tale.”
Rian claimed in the same tweet that he aimed to make the Benoit Blanc films similar to Agatha Christie’s novels. Because of this, each film will have its own distinct title, mood, scope, and motivation.
The filming location suggests that this mystery will leave the tranquil East Coast of the United States for a more far-flung locale. While it’s true that a change of environment can do wonders for one’s creative spirit, it’s likely (though not verified) that Benoit will be sifting through the remains of yet another devilish murder.
The film’s star, Dave Bautista, couldn’t resist giving fans a tantalising hint by saying the sequel would be “even greater” than the original.
Bautista assured the public, “I genuinely think it’s going to be as excellent, if not better than the first one.” I’m constantly worried that someone will take offence if I suggest that we’re going to improve, but I truly believe that. To me, it’s all about the personalities, who are so much more vivid. I have a feeling that folks are going to go crazy over this.
