Fans got to meet a number of enduring characters with promising futures in the franchise over the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, Tatiana Maslany’s She-Hulk, and other actors have all demonstrated their capacity to step in and replace their respective Avengers counterparts when necessary.
Another of these successors will make their franchise debut in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”: Riri Williams, better known as Ironheart (Dominique Thorne, who almost played a different MCU character), who uses her technical expertise to create armoured suits similar to those associated with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.).
Ironheart will star in her own Disney+ series after making her MCU debut in “Wakanda Forever.” The programme, appropriately dubbed “Ironheart,” will hopefully be available on streaming services in 2023 thanks to its creator Chinaka Hodge. As the inevitable premiere draws further and nearer, a number of well-known actors have joined the cast, including Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Anthony Ramos, who plays Parker “The Hood” Robbins, and others.
However, if the rumours are to be true, one iconic figure in the entertainment industry may also work on the show for the first time as a Marvel Studios employee.
Ironheart’s Climax Could Feature Baron Cohen.
On October 18, 2022, DFree/Shutterstock Deadline claimed that Sacha Baron Cohen would appear toward the end of “Ironheart,” suggesting a potential MCU connection. According to sources, if he is truly engaged, he has agreed to portray a villain, but not just any villain.
He might play the wicked Mephisto, who fans had hoped would make an appearance in the MCU through a number of earlier films, but to no avail. Although neither Marvel nor Baron Cohen’s representatives have commented on his possible involvement, the publication reports that he has been seen at the Marvel facilities of Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom.
Building on the earlier report, Deadline released a follow-up article on October 26 regarding the first speculation of Sacha Baron Cohen’s “Ironheart” casting. New details concerning Baron Cohen’s involvement emerged in conjunction to the revelation that Cree Summer had officially joined the series in an unannounced role. The likelihood is that if he does show up on the Disney+ show as Mephisto, it will be in the final couple of the six episodes. He has apparently also been scanned for CGI effects, suggesting that he may appear on the show both live and in a digital version.
So, is Sacha Baron Cohen’s appearance on “Ironheart” confirmed? Well, not right now, at least not as of this writing. Even if these allegations are intriguing, it’s best to take them with a grain of salt until Baron Cohen or a representative from Marvel Studios officially confirms his participation.
