The explanation is as easy as that since he is the personification of Evil itself. The original film’s creators made a point of avoiding including any explanations or backstories for why a 6-year-old might murder his sibling. If they did, spectators would develop sympathy for the killer, reducing the shock value that Michael Myers would deliver.

The only plausible explanation would be that he was a sociopathic serial killer with no sentiments or motivation for his kills. In the film “Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers,” directors like Daniel Farrands attempted to create Michael’s backstories, including him in some type of Celtic cult that caused him to murder everyone in his bloodline, especially on Halloween night.

This was not well received by moviegoers, therefore these scenes were largely overlooked. Michael Myers is the scariest killer Haddonfield has ever had since his murders have no rhyme or reason. He kills for the sake of killing.
