Cecily Legler Strong is an American actress and Comedian who has been a cast member of Saturday Night Live since 2021 Making her the longest-tenured female cast member in the show’s history. She moved to Chicago after graduating from CalArts and was performing improv there when she was hired for SNL. In her second year, her first as a full cast member, she served as the co-anchor of the Weekend Update segment.

She also co-produced the Apple TV+ musical comedy series Schmigadoon! (2021), which she also starred in. Her other roles include voice work on The Awesomes (2013–2015), supporting parts in movies like Ghostbusters, The Meddler, and The Female Brain, and voice work on other shows. In 2015, she presided over the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. This Will All Be Over Soon, her autobiography, was released in 2021.

She was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at the 72nd and 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards for her work on Saturday Night Live.
