The Imperfects’ Season 2 on Netflix Has Been Cancelled!

On September 8th, Netflix released its newest supernatural coming-of-age series. Exactly two months later, the network announced that the show had been canceled and would not be returning for a second season.

Three teenagers participate in an experiment in the Shelley Eriksen and Dennis Heaton film The Imperfects, which results in horrifying side effects. The trio works together to track down the guilty scientist and, ideally, a treatment.

The show was created by the same production company that worked on a variety of Netflix original series, including Wu Assassins, The Order, and The I-Land (which was canceled after two seasons).

Has Season 2 of the Imperfects Been Renewed by Netflix?

Netflix’s official renewal status is canceled.

The show was announced to be canceled on Netflix on November 8, 2022, along with Partner Track (another debut show for Netflix in 2022), which means it won’t have a second season.

As previously discussed, Netflix will consider a variety of factors when determining whether to renew a show and for a show of this size, the number of viewers who continue to watch the entire season will be crucial.

The show’s marketing will undoubtedly be a target if it is canceled, which many people are already afraid it might be. The Imperfects’ promotion was undoubtedly the worst of any new show’s debut season in 2022.

At Geeked Week, we received our first significant reveal; however, since then, we have only received one batch of fresh details regarding the release date. What’s worse is that most outlets’ September 2022 schedules (not ours, though!) skipped over the trailer and release date announcement, which came just over a week before the show was scheduled to premiere.

Expected Plot of the Seasons 2 of Imperfects

The three friends have been frantically searching for a cure throughout the entire series. Eventually, they do come across one, and while Tilda decides not to take it, the other two are unhappy with the outcome.

The fact that the virus spread throughout the entire town, causing untold chaos and damage, is one of the bigger issues the trio (and the rest of the world) are facing.

Iaki Godoy, one of the main stars of The Imperfects, will make a return to Netflix in 2023 with the release of the One Piece live-action adaptation, it should be noted before we part ways.

Rating for the Series

There aren’t enough reviews to merit a RottenTomatoes or Metacritic critic review. In terms of audience approval, it received a 79% on RottenTomatoes but only 6.1/10 out of 1.5K reviews on IMDb.
