Roger Sexton, a Survivor celebrity, passed away on October 26 at the age of 76. He gained notoriety as a result of his participation in Survivor’s sixth season. He had a protracted battle with Lewy body dementia, according to his family, before passing away at his daughter’s house. They stated:
“Surrounded by his loving family and the caring assistance of Walla Walla Hospice, Roger was finally able to find peace.”
Even though she and Sexton had their disagreements, Jenna Morasca, the winner of Survivor Season 6, stated in an Instagram post that they would always be a family.
Who is Roger Sexton?
Roger Sexton was born in Oakland, California, and raised in the Bay Area, according to his obituary. After that, he enlisted in the Marines and served there between 1966 and 1967.
After receiving his discharge, he married Diane Rodrick in 1968. Later, in 1971, he received his diploma in Construction Management from the California Polytechnic Institute in San Louis Obispo. Additionally, he was promoted to vice president of a construction contracting business.
In addition to being a member of the National Offroad Biking Association, International Mountain Bike Association, USA Adventure Racing, and the Sierra Club, Roger had a keen interest in outdoor pursuits like hiking, skiing, and biking.

After taking part in the sixth season of Survivor in 2003, which was filmed in Brazil close to the Amazon River, he rose to fame. The male and female contestants were divided into tribes and pitted against one another until only ten contestants remained.

The women’s team successfully persuaded the majority of the male contestants to vote Roger out of the competition. His wife Diane, daughter Amy and her husband Brian Evensen, grandchildren Drew and Hadley Evensen, as well as his sisters Pamela Mills and Patricia Markowitz, are left to carry on without him.

Lewy body dementia, a form of dementia that progresses after Alzheimer’s disease, caused Roger Sexton’s death. Lewy bodies are protein deposits that form in nerve cells in the parts of the brain that support thought, memory, and movement.

Age, sex, and family history are risk elements for Lewy body dementia. Men are more likely than women to experience the issue, as are people over the age of 60.
