Episode 8 Recap
A Family Member’s Friend The eighth episode was called “Outer Darkness,” and it was one of the most exciting ones. We saw Mary Ann getting ready for an important meeting. She picks up the phone and calls Jan over and over again to find out where he is. Pete seems more interested in finding out what happened because he had a hard time in the past, just like B did.

Pete goes against the rules and tries even harder to find Jan. Jan is about to lose it because she is scared and has too much to do. Later, Pete takes Jan home and tells her that she should be nicer to her parents when she gets there.

A Family Member’s Friend Episode 9, which is called “Revelation,” is all set to be shown. Since this is the last episode of the season, we expect it to end well. In this episode, we’ll see that everyone might be happy now that Jan is back home. We’ll see Bob and Mary Ann get better, but as Jan’s 16th birthday approaches and the mission gets close to its most important point, she gets ready for the unexpected.

Bob Broberg, who is the father of Jan and the husband of Mary Ann, is played by Colin Hanks (The Offer, Impeachment: American Crime Story). Berchtold gets close to Jan by getting both of her parents to fall in love with him.

Gail, Robert Berchtold’s wife, is played by Lio Tipton (The Edge of Sleep, Why Women Kill). They have a large family together, and she had no idea what her husband would do in the end. Jan’s early years are played by Hendrix Yancey (George & Tammy, Unbelievable), and her later years are played by McKenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Handmaid’s Tale).
The first four episodes of A Friend of the Family aired on Peacock on Thursday, October 6.
