Cardi B paid tribute to Takeoff with a touching Instagram message. The 30-year-old rapper opened up on how she and her husband, Offset, are dealing with the death of a friend earlier this month.

Cardi B Composes an Emotional Letter for Takeoff
On Friday, the Open It Up rapper moved to Instagram to pay passionate tribute to Takeoff, real name Kirsnick Khari Ball. She posted a collection of photographs and videos of the late rapper and commented,
“Takeoff your untimely passing has brought a great deal of pain and sorrow to so many lives.”
“The impact you had in this world was so considerable and we have struggled to grasp this tragedy. I am heartbroken but I am grateful for all the precious memories we got to share while you were here with us. This has truly been a nightmare and the pain is incomparable,” she continued.

Cardi B Also Shared a Dm Exchange With the Late Rapper
Cardi uploaded a screenshot of her DM interaction with Takeoff, in which he wrote that he loved her ‘4L & after,’ which translates to ‘for life and beyond.’ “I will also love you 4L & after,” the rapper said at the end of her post.
“As a Migos fan it hurts me to look at pictures and videos of y’all together, and hearing y’all songs that changed the music industry and moved the culture and had the clubs lit 🔥. It hurts because I know it will never be the same again—but I know your bros and y’all fans will make sure the world never forgets the impact you made,” Cardi B penned a song.
The Murderer of Takeoff Has Yet to Be Apprehended
After an altercation outside a billiards and bowling facility in Houston, the 28-year-old Migos rapper was shot and died. Takeoff was apparently playing a dice game with his uncle, bandmate Quavo, who escaped the event unscathed.
His death was caused by ‘penetrating gunshot wounds to the head and body into the arm.’ Two more people were shot and needed to be taken to the hospital. At the time of writing, the authorities were still looking for the attacker, and no arrests had been made.
