Fans of Yellowstone Season 5 Are Reconsidering Their Feelings Toward Beth

Long-time fans of the blockbuster neo-Western “Yellowstone” on the Paramount Network will undoubtedly have an opinion of Kelly Reilly‘s Beth Dutton, especially as Season 5 saddles up and heads out on the road.

A big asset to the family, at least to some of the family, Beth serves as a central character in the series and is a whip-smart businesswoman.  She is also a sister who is willing to use blackmail to force her brother (Wes Bentley) to commit murder in order to achieve what she wants.

She once held a priest at gunpoint while kidnapping him as well. But above all, Beth is a fiercely loyal daughter to her father John Dutton (Kevin Costner), and a powerhouse when it comes to supporting her family in their unending quest to maintain control of their vast ranch/fiefdom in Montana.

The Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, sometimes known as “the Yellowstone,” is the largest spread in the state and would appear to be completely too enormous to fail on a number of factors.

On the program, however, such is far from the truth as Beth and the rest of the Dutton family deal with a constant stream of problems brought on by local and state politicians, greedy property developers, and other individuals hoping to shrink the size of the enormous ranch and its owners.

With all of this information regarding Beth’s tough, don’t-hold-back persona, it should come as no surprise that Season 5 of “Yellowstone” viewers are eager to express their opinions about this series regularly.

Season 5 of Yellowstone’s Beth Appears to Be Upsetting Some Viewers.

Beth is a persona that quickly makes an impression as a don’t-mess-with-me character from the very first episode of “Yellowstone,” showing that she is undoubtedly a self-assured, strong-willed woman. By Episode 1 of Season 5, her father John has been sworn in as the governor of Montana.

As his first official act, the politician-hating patriarch fires all the holdovers in the governor’s house and appoints Beth as his new chief of staff, which comes to an as little surprise to anyone. Beth is more or less salivating at the power that comes with her new position and is more than eager to help John track down the family’s adversaries by whatever means necessary.

Apparently, some fans aren’t too like of this specific Dutton because of Beth’s ruthless, Machiavellian power-play impulses. I can’t root for both anymore, wrote user u/Medical Distance 722 during a live conversation about the first episode of “Yellowstone” Season 5 on the show’s subreddit. The scriptwriters, in the opinion of Reddit user u/cowtown45, are to blame for this “This program is becoming increasingly foolish.

Beth is getting to be so boring. This season, the writers are definitely lacking.” Additionally, as the most recent season of the sitcom begins, user u/Humbletoast09 finds the Dutton daughter to be more than a bit tiresome, pleading, “Someone put Beth in timeout.”

Since Season 5 has just begun, there is still plenty of time for Beth to experience character growth, but if four seasons of Beth Dutton’s stubbornness have taught “Yellowstone” viewers anything, it is that fans shouldn’t hold their breath when it comes to her.
