It’s a Wonderful Life

Even though it’s Christmas, George Bailey has so many problems that he thinks about ending it all. As the angels talk about George, we see scenes from his life. As George is about to jump off a bridge, he saves his guardian angel, Clarence. Clarence then shows George what his town would be like if it weren’t for all the good things George has done over the years.

The Polar Express

Tom Hanks and Robert Zemeckis, who made “Forrest Gump” and “Cast Away,” work together again on “Polar Express,” a moving adventure based on Chris Van Allsburg’s beloved children’s book. When a young boy who doesn’t believe in magic takes an amazing train ride to the North Pole, he starts on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that life will always be amazing if you believe in it.

Die Hard

On Christmas Eve, New York City police officer John McClane (Bruce Willis) goes to see his ex-wife (Bonnie Bedelia) and their two daughters. He goes with her to a holiday party at the office of the Japanese company where she works. But the party is cut short when a group of terrorists takes over the building and everyone in it. McClane soon realizes that he is the only one who can save the hostages.


Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa’s elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn’t fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

As the holidays get closer, Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) wants his family to have a perfect Christmas, so he nags his wife Ellen (Beverly D’Angelo) and kids to make sure everything is in order, including the tree and decorations for the house. But things quickly go wrong. His poor cousin Eddie, played by Randy Quaid, and his family show up out of the blue and move into the Griswolds’ camper. Worse still, Clark’s bosses don’t pay him the holiday bonus he needs.

The Grinch

The Grinch and Max, his faithful dog, live alone in a cave on Mount Crumpet. His biggest source of trouble is when his neighbors in Whoville celebrate Christmas with a big bang. When the Whos decide to make Christmas bigger and brighter, the unhappy Grinch figures out that there is a way to stop them. With Max’s help, the green grump comes up with a plan to pretend to be Santa Claus, steal Christmas, and shut down the Whos’ holiday cheer for good.

Home Alone 2

After snarky teenager Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) loses track of his father at the airport, he gets on the wrong plane to New York City while the rest of the McCallisters fly to Florida. Kevin is now on his own in New York City, so he lies his way into a room at the Plaza Hotel and starts doing his usual tricks. But when Kevin finds out that the Sticky Bandits (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) are on the run, he tries hard to stop them from robbing an old man’s toy store right before Christmas.

A Bad Mom’s Christmas

Moms are underappreciated and have too much to do. Amy, Kiki, and Carla defy the challenges and expectations of Christmas, which is the Super Bowl for moms. As if it wasn’t hard enough to plan the perfect holiday for their families, they’ll also have to host and entertain their mothers when they come to visit.

Jingle All The Way

Howard Langston, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, is a workaholic who wants to make up for his son Jamie (Jake Lloyd) and wife Liz (Rita Wilson). He says he will get Jamie Turbo-Man, the most popular toy of the season, even though it is Christmas Eve and the toy is almost sold out. Langston meets the mailman Myron (Sinbad), who is also a father looking for the same gift. As time runs out, Langston’s morals are put to the test as he starts to learn what Christmas is all about.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

The movie is about the misadventures of Jack Skellington, who is the beloved pumpkin king of Halloweentown. He is tired of the same old routine of scaring people in the “real world,” so when he stumbles upon Christmastown, which is full of bright colors and happy people, he gets a new lease on life. He plans to take over Christmas by kidnapping Santa Claus and becoming the new Santa Claus. But Jack soon learns that even mice and skeleton men’s best plans can go very wrong.

Christmas With the Kranks

When Luther (Tim Allen) and Nora Krank (Jamie Lee Curtis) are finally alone for the holidays, they plan to skip Christmas traditions and go on a cruise in the Caribbean instead. This doesn’t sit well with their Christmas-obsessed neighbors Vic Frohmeyer (Dan Aykroyd) and Walt Scheel (M. Emmet Walsh), who are determined to win the annual “best-decorated street” competition. Soon, the Kranks become social outcasts because of their lack of Christmas spirit.

Jack Frost

As a touring musician who still wants to be famous, old rocker Jack Frost (Michael Keaton) never had much time for his wife Gabby (Kelly Preston) and young son Charlie (Joseph Cross). Charlie plays a sad tune on his father’s harmonica a year after Jack died in a terrible car accident on Christmas Day. The elder Frost is surprised when he is magically brought to life on the family lawn as a snowman. Charlie and Jack try hard to make up for the lost time when they get a second chance.

The Santa Clause

On Christmas Eve, Scott, played by Tim Allen, has custody of his son Eric, played by Eric Lloyd. After he kills a man in a Santa suit by accident, he and the man are magically taken to the North Pole, where an elf tells Scott that he must become Santa before the next Christmas. Scott thinks he’s dreaming, but over the next few months, he puts on weight and grows a white beard that he doesn’t understand. Maybe that night at the North Pole wasn’t a dream after all, and Scott might have a lot of work to do.

Mickey’s Christmas Carol

Ebenezer Scrooge is much too selfish to realize that Christmas is a time for being kind and giving. But with the help of a few new friends, Scrooge learns to get into the holiday spirit. A retelling of Charles Dickens’s classic story using Disney’s classic characters.

Peppa Christmas

This is a special 10-minute episode. Peppa and George send letters to Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. Then the family went to Miss Rabbit’s tree shop to buy a Christmas tree. The tree Daddy Pig picks is much too big to fit in the family’s small car, so he has to carry it all the way home.
