In For All Mankind, the authors depict a world where Russia beats the United States to the moon. We’re spared the misery of imagining a world in which For All Mankind ended after its third season because Apple TV+ announced the show’s comeback well in advance of the conclusion of season three.
The renewal was revealed towards the end of July’s San Diego Comic-Con. This early confirmation raises hopes that fresh episodes will arrive at a faster rate than is now the case.
But what precisely will occur? We’ve made it through the ’90s with a new destination in sight—Mars—but what’s in store for us in the new millennium?
Get suited up and hang out with Digital Spy as we dish the dirt on season four of For All Mankind on Apple TV+.

All Mankind Season 4 Cast
This season marks a lot of significant shifts for For All Mankind’s ensemble cast. All right, let’s have a look at the specifics. Shantel VanSanten and Sonya Walger will not be back for a fourth season after the deaths of Karen Baldwin and Molly Cobb. These two performers could come back disguised as their generational contemporaries.
In this scenario, Joel Kinnaman would reprise his role as Ed Baldwin, Krys Marshall would reprise her role as Danielle Poole, Jodi Balfour would reprise her role as Ellen Wilson, and Wrenn Schmidt would reprise his role as Margo Madison. All Mankind Season 4 Plot
In this other timeline, the Soviet Union beats the United States to the Moon, and the space competition continues. The first episode of Season 1 took place in 1969, while the most recent one is set in the 1990s when the space competition moved its focus to the Red Planet. Season 4 will take place in the 2000s, co-creator Matt Wolpert told Deadline at SDCC.
Ronald D. Moore, who collaborated on the project, told the magazine, “I’m pleased that we get to keep going forward in this fantastic story.” To put it simply, I’ve always hoped that this would be a lengthy, multi-year process. We’ve accomplished a lot, and it’s exciting to think about what else we can accomplish together.

Where Can I Watch for All Mankind Past Seasons?
While there has been a lot of development on “For All Mankind” since its 2019 premiere, there is still time for viewers to catch up before the premiere of season four. Given its status as an original series for Apple TV+, all thirty episodes from the first three seasons are currently available only through Apple’s premium streaming service. The shows require an Apple TV+ membership, which presently costs $4.99 a month.

Some people may be able to view Apple TV+ shows in the future for free if they cannot afford a premium subscription. In June 2022, when Season 3 of “For All Mankind” premiered, the first season was made available for free to platform users who weren’t subscribed to the show (via The Verge). When Season 4 finally arrives on the service, I hope a similar marketing campaign is put into effect.
