Who is Fever Ray?

Karin Elisabeth Dreijer is a record producer in addition to a singer-songwriter. Dreijer founded the electronic music duo the Knife with his brother Olof. Dreijer’s first solo album, Fever Ray, was made available in January 2009. The album, titled Plunge, was released in October 2017 under the same name.

Dreijer’s voices, which are multitracked and use various pitch-shifting techniques on each track to produce a mysterious and complicated effect, are known for their shrill and deep tones.

The electronic music duo The Knife was founded by Dreijer and his brother Olof Dreijer. Olof wrote and produced the album’s lead single, “What They Call Us,” which was released last month.
