The Great British Baking Sitcom: Holidays on Netflix has four British actors from the show It’s a Sin, which may have caused some confusion. For the second time, Love Productions welcomed the cast of a popular Channel 4 show to celebrate the holidays in the Bake Off tent. A few years ago, the Derry Girls stars, including Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan, were invited to participate in a New Year’s version of The Great British Baking Show, which was a delight.

What Is It a Sin?

It’s a Sin is a Russell T. Davies-created British miniseries that examines life in London during the AIDS pandemic. Over a decade, from 1981 to 1991, we follow a group of young gay guys as they develop friendships and roommates (along with gal pal Jill). It was a modest, but critically acclaimed, hit on HBO Max and a huge hit in the United Kingdom when it premiered in 2021.

Olly Alexander, who portrays Ritchie Tozer in It’s a Sin and is well-known for his music, has released albums under the name Years & Years.
Lydia West, portrays Jill Baxter, a character partially based on Russell T. Davies’ best friend Jill Nadler Shaun Dooley, who
portrays Ritchie’s father Clive Tozer in the series.
Nathaniel Curtis, who is Ash Mukherjee in the series (and who will appear in The Witcher: Blood Origin on Netflix later this holiday season), has a new role.
