Kantara is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language action drama film written and directed by Rishab Shetty and produced by Vijay Kiragandur for Hombale Films. In the movie, Shetty plays a Kambala champion who is at odds with Murali, an honest forest officer (played by Kishore).
The main filming began in August 2021 in Keradi, which is on the coast of Karnataka. Arvind S. Kashyap was in charge of the film’s cinematography. B. Ajaneesh Loknath was in charge of the film’s music, and Vikram More was in charge of the action scenes. The production design was done by Dharani Gange Putra, who was making her first movie.

Kantara came out on September 30, 2022, and critics loved it. They praised the acting, especially by Shetty and Kishore, as well as the direction, writing, production design, cinematography, action scenes, editing, soundtrack, and musical score. The movie did very well at the box office and is now the second-highest-grossing Kannada movie of all time and the second-highest-grossing Kannada movie of 2022.

After Kantara’s Hindi dub was a huge hit, the director wants to put the movie on the OTT platform. In order to do this, he signed up for Amazon Prime Video so he could watch Kantara on the SVOD service mentioned above. Amazon Prime Video, an online video service, has bought the digital rights to show the movie.

The movie Kantara didn’t make much money on its first day in theaters, but after that, it made a lot. The movie made more than INR 50 Crore in its first week of the sale. The action thriller Kantara has been praised by critics and moviegoers in India, the United States, and Australia.
Kantara reportedly made INR 3.50 Crore ($425,000) in the second week after it went on sale around the world. Since the movie was becoming so popular, the people who made it decided to have it dubbed into Hindi as well. The Hindi trailer for it was put online on October 9, 2022.
