Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, also known as Megan Thee Stallion, is an American rapper. She was born on February 15, 1995, and her stage name is pronounced: “Megan the Stallion.” She was born in Houston, Texas, and got noticed when videos of her freestyling went viral on social media sites like Instagram. Megan Thee Stallion signed with 300 Entertainment in 2018. She then put out the mixtape Fever (2019) and the extended play Suga (2020), both of which reached the top ten of the Billboard 200.
Her first studio album, Good News (2020), was well-received by critics and ended up on several best-of-the-year lists. She had her first and second number-one singles on the US Billboard Hot 100 with a remix of “Savage” with Beyoncé and a feature on Cardi B’s “WAP.” “WAP” was also her first number-one single in several other countries and on the Billboard Global 200 chart.

In 2021, she and Doja Cat were on the remix of “34+35” by Ariana Grande, which went to number two on the Billboard Hot 100. She then released her first compilation album, Something for thee Hotties, in 2021. This year, Stallion, whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, made about $13 million from selling tickets, getting royalties, selling merchandise, and getting endorsement deals. The 27-year-old woman also did an interview for the magazine’s cover story, where she said she has no plans to slow down in her career.

Megan Thee Stallion got on Forbes’s coveted list for the first time in 2020. She has come a long way since then, and now Time Inc. is giving her $3 million to make a documentary about her life.
