Slow Horses Season 2 Release Date: Who Are the Cast Members in This Season?

Slow Horses, a British spy show on Apple TV+, will be back with its second season this holiday season. In Season 1, we saw how the MI5 agents who had been fired and sent to Slough House to end their careers were able to start over and prove their worth as spies.

Now, the team is getting back together to stop another threat. Some secrets from the Cold War that had been buried for a long time have resurfaced, and they point to a disaster that could hit the United Kingdom. The series is based on the book series The Slough House by British author Mick Herron. The first season was based on the first book in the series, Slow Horses. The second season is based on the 2013 sequel to the same series, Dead Lion.

In June 2022, following the launch of the first season in April 2022, Slow Horses was renewed for not just a second season, but also a third and fourth. Seasons 3 and 4 are believed to be based on the books Real Tigers and Spook Street, continuing the series’ chronological format.

It appears that Jackson Lamb’s crew won’t be moving anytime soon, and the Slough Housers are not as inept as they seemed. Season 2 of Slow Horses is written by William James Smith, Morwenna Banks, Jonny Stockwood, and Mark Denton.

What Does the Second Season of Slow Horses Focus on?

Season 2 of Slow Horses picks up right where Season 1 left off. The first season came to a dramatic close with Lamb and his team regaining their excellent name as agents and attracting the attention of MI5’s higher-ups. Being true to form, Jackson Lamb is content to resume his previous, mundane routine and encourage his colleague’s agents to do the same.

But it seems that problems always find a way to wiggle their way back into Slough House and start a new round of chaos. After experiencing success in challenging assignments, even the agents couldn’t be still.

When certain long-buried secrets from the Cold War resurface and a group of Russian sleeper operatives are activated, the residents of Slough House fear that London and the rest of the globe are in danger. They need to get their minds back in the game and act quickly to avert a huge disaster.
