Overwatch 2 Season 2 Release Date: Overwatch 2 Lunar New Year 2023!

In Season 2 of Overwatch 2, there is a new Tank hero, a new Escort Map, and even a limited-time game mode based on Greek gods. There is a lot to look forward to in Season 2 because there are so many holiday-themed events and cool cosmetics planned.

On this page of the Overwatch 2 wiki guide on IGN, you can find out what we know so far about Season 2 of Overwatch 2, which starts on December 6, 2022.

Overwatch 2 Season 2 Release Date

On December 6, 2022, Season 2 of Overwatch will start. Season 2 has not yet been given a specific release date.

What to Expect

Overwatch 2 Season 2 will add a lot of new content that fits in well with the game’s theme of Greek mythology.

Ramattra, the new hero, will be a part of the battle pass.

Also, a bunch of new skins is being added that fit both the Greek theme and the Christmas holiday event.

Along with Christmas skins, there will also be a Christmas event that will only last for a short time.

Battle for Olympus, the new game mode, is one of the most exciting things about this season. But we don’t know much about this.

Free Skin Opportunities

There are chances to get free Skins in these limited-time Seasonal Events. Blizzard says it is working hard to make sure that players who don’t want to spend a lot of money can still get cool cosmetic rewards.

Players can get Epic Ice Queen Brigitte, Legendary Winged Victory Mercy, and Legendary Kkachi Echo for free by taking part in the different events and challenges in Season 2 of Overwatch 2.

And there’s more! In Season 2, you can earn Overwatch 2 Twitch Drops by watching your favorite Twitch streamers play Overwatch 2. A Legendary Ramattra Skin is one of these unique rewards.

Last but not least, during Season 2, the Shop will have beautiful Skins based on Greek mythology that you can buy with Overwatch Coins.

Balance Changes

With the new season, there are some big changes to how the Heroes in Overwatch 2 work together. Overwatch 2 Sojourn, in particular, has shown to be very powerful at high levels of play but not so much at lower levels. Blizzard is lowering the range of Sojourn’s Rail Gun because they want players to use Sojourn’s mobility to get closer to their targets if they want to do real damage.

Overwatch 2’s Doomfist is getting some changes that will help him help his team more on the front lines without changing too much about who he is as a Hero.

Lastly, Ana, Bastion, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Mercy, and Symmetra may change. Blizzard hasn’t said what they plan to do with these Heroes yet, but changes are coming in Season 2.

As you can see, there is a lot to do in Season 2 of Overwatch 2. Get ready for Season 2 on December 6, 2022, by studying Greek mythology.

To really mark the event, some new Winter Wonderland skins will come out in December. Holiday-themed skins for Brigitte, Echo, and Bastion have already been teased. It’s likely that some older Winter Wonderlands skins from classic Overwatch will also be back, so keep an eye on the Shop during the event for old favorites!

Winter Wonderland may also bring back fan-favorite limited-time game modes like Mei’s Snowball Offensive from the original Overwatch, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Overwatch 2 Year of the Rabbit 2023

The Year of the Rabbit will be Overwatch 2’s first Lunar New Year event. It will run from January 17, 2023, to February 6, 2023.
