Release Date

After the attack on Tokyo Special Divisions 1-4, Episode 10 of Chainsaw Man will likely deal with the repercussions. Episode 9’s climax alluded to this but didn’t go into detail about the full extent of the decimation’s impact. Several seasoned Devil Hunters have been killed, and Aki Hayakawa has been severely injured.

More characters will likely be introduced in this episode as Tokyo’s Special Division 4 merges with the other Special Division units. There’s a chance that fans will watch Makima discuss the recent incident with Public Safety’s higher-ups for a second time. Even with Division 4’s previous success, this new disaster calls for an explanation and possibly a consequence.

During this time, Makima is on her way to Kyoto to meet with her superiors when random passengers on the train pull out guns and shoot her and the other Public Safety officers on board.

As ‘Order 66-style attacks on Division 4 members occur across the country, Denji, Himeno, Power, and Aki are having breakfast at a ramen shop when an unknown man approaches them and begins asking Denji about the flavor profiles of the dishes they have ordered. The man then pulls out a picture of the Yakuza boss for whom Denji served in episode 1, pulls out his weapon, shoots Denji and Himeno, and gets eaten by Aki’s Kon.

The man takes on a devil-hybrid form, complete with protruding katana blades, and slashes his way out of Kon; Aki easily dispatches him, but a second blonde woman jumps in to help.

Himeno gives her life so that her Ghost Devil might fight off these two mysterious foes, but the monster is devoured by the gigantic serpent commanded by the blonde. At the end of the episode, the Ghost Devil has been vanquished and all that is left is a heap of Himeno’s clothing.
