In 1917, Luigia Colucci moved to the United States with her husband. She was his very, very, very old grandmother. His mother was a nurse, and his father put Nielsen TV rating boxes on TVs. His family moved from Orlando, Florida, to Dunedin, Florida, when he was six years old.

He was on the Dunedin National Little League team that went to the 1991 Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. DeSantis went to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School before going to Dunedin High School. He graduated from Dunedin High School in 1997.

After he graduated from high school, DeSantis went to Yale to study history. While he was captain of Yale’s varsity baseball team, he joined the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He was on the Yale baseball team and played outfield. As a senior in 2001, he had the best batting average on the team.

During his time at Yale, he worked as an electrician’s assistant and a baseball camp coach, among other things. In 2001, DeSantis got a B.A. magna cum laude from Yale. Before going to Harvard Law School, he taught history for a year at the Darlington School. In 2005, he got his Juris Doctor cum laude degree from Harvard Law School.

Ron DeSantis was the representative for Florida’s 6th district in the US House of Representatives from 2013 to 2018. He then ran for governor and won. DeSantis was born in Jacksonville, but he spent most of his childhood and teen years in Dunedin. He got his degrees from both Yale University and Harvard Law School.

DeSantis joined the US Navy in 2004 and worked his way up to the rank of lieutenant before becoming an advisor for SEAL Team One. In 2007, he was sent to Iraq. When DeSantis came back to the United States a year later, the U.S. Department of Justice put him to work as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.

He did this job until 2010 when he was let go on good terms. In 2012, DeSantis won his first election to Congress by beating Heather Beaven, who was running as a Democrat. During his time in office, he started the Freedom Caucus and worked with President Trump.

In 2016, he ran for the U.S. Senate for a short time but dropped out when the incumbent, Marco Rubio, also ran. During his 2018 race for governor, DeSantis made it a point to back Trump.

The results of the general election between DeSantis and Andrew Gillum, the mayor of Tallahassee and the Democratic candidate, were so close that a machine recount was needed. DeSantis was called the winner by a 0.4% margin.

During the COVID-19 outbreak in Florida, DeSantis was against putting restrictions in a place like making people wear face masks, stay at home, or get shots. He made a rule that starting in May 2021, shops, universities, cruise ships, and the government can’t ask for proof of vaccination.

On May 12, 2015, Christiana Marie DeSanti died at the age of 30. Her untimely death shocked everyone in her family, and it broke their hearts as well as their own. Stephen Pasiewicz was the man she was going to marry, and they had just announced that they were engaged.

On June 7, 2015, she was laid to rest in the Curley Hills Memory Gardens in Florida, United States, after her funeral at St. Charles Church. Even though she was known for having a charming personality, she left this world far too soon and took her loved ones with her. Her sudden death was a huge shock to everyone because she was looking forward to starting a new part of her life.
