Elvis Presley was born on May 24, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, to Priscilla Ann Wagner. Her mother, Ann, was only 19 when she had Priscilla, and her father, James, a Navy captain, died in a plane crash when Priscilla was only 6 months old.
In 1973, Priscilla and her friend and stylist Olivia Bis opened a clothing store in Los Angeles called Bis & Beau. Cher, Barbra Streisand, and Natalie Wood were all fans of the store. After Elvis died in 1977, Priscilla was Lisa Marie’s executor. With the help of CEO Jack Soden, she turned Graceland into a popular tourist attraction so that she wouldn’t have to spend her daughter’s money on maintenance, taxes, and other costs.
Priscilla has produced several movies and TV shows, such as “Elvis and Me” (1988), “Breakfast with Einstein” (1998), “Finding Graceland” (1998), and the upcoming Netflix adult cartoon series “Agent King.” In all three “Naked Gun” movies, she played Lt. Frank Drebin’s love interest, Jane Spencer.
In 2000, she joined the board of directors at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. She was a regular cast member on the TV show “Dallas” from 1983 to 1988. Priscilla was also given the main role in “Charlie’s Angels,” but she turned it down.
