Stephanie Beatriz is a Gay Or Not?

She wrote for GQ about how she didn’t feel “gay enough,” how she felt like an “outsider,” and how her sexuality was “misjudged.”

“In October, I’m getting married to a straight man, but I’ll always be bisexual,” she says.

Many people have thanked her for “so perfectly” describing what it’s like to be bisexual.

Stephanie writes that being bi is a constant series of “coming out” moments.

“Most of the time, bisexuality needs to be explained. It’s not something you can usually “read” from a person, so bi people sometimes feel like they don’t belong to the LGBTQIA community.”

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, and asexual or allied is what the letters LGBTQIA stand for.

Stephanie talks about how frustrating it is that her sexuality is defined by “who we’re partnered with at any given time,” but she says she wants to talk about her experience in public.
