Tom Felton Is Open To Returning To The Harry Potter Series

The “Harry Potter” series has recently become a source of heated debate. As J.K. Rowling, the franchise’s creator has faced criticism for her polarising opinions, characters from every aspect of the series have either sided with her or distanced themselves from her, causing a huge breach in the Potterverse.

It’s interesting to note that the divide has largely been generational, with veteran actors like Ralph Fiennes and Helena Bonham Carter supporting Rowling, while younger actors like Eddie Redmayne and Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter series, have supported their trans peers.

The biggest young stars of the film, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, have clearly positioned themselves in the anti-Rowling camp, therefore eliminating any chance of them returning to the franchise (via Us Weekly).

Given the abundance of employment opportunities available today, Radcliffe and Watson will undoubtedly continue to succeed even without Rowling’s support. Tom Felton, one of their previous co-stars, recently announced that he is still interested in making a comeback to the “Harry Potter” series.

Tom Felton Would Return for a Sequel to the Cursed Child Series.

Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the enduring series, recently discussed the possibility of returning to the Potterverse as his recognizable character with Josh Horowitz of the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Felton specifically stated that he would think about joining the alleged “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” series for Warner Bros. Discovery, which is purportedly being pushed by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav (via Puck News).

Felton didn’t appear to think that such an occasion would persuade Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson to return to the series, though, when asked about it. He told Horowitz, “I don’t think it will be an all-or-nothing situation.

Felton, who previously refrained from publicly expressing an opinion on J.K. Rowling’s divisive viewpoints (per The Telegraph), came across as a true Potterhead. The actor, who will soon be seen with Rupert Everett in “Lead Heads,” acknowledged that he still had a Slytherin House phone case. (Variety) Given that information, it might not seem so unlikely to envision him making a comeback as Malfoy in the near future.
