Former manager of AC Milan, Bologna, and Fiorentina Sinisa Mihajlovic has died after a protracted battle with leukaemia.
In 2019, Sinia, 53, disclosed that she had been given a leukaemia diagnosis. He was fired from his last post at Bologna after a dismal first half of the season. While running Bologna, he was receiving treatment.
Sinisa Mihajlovic was born in the former Yugoslavia and played football for the majority of his career in Italy. His time with Inter Milan even lasted two years. But his management abilities made him well known. In addition to the Serbian National Football Team, he oversaw several Series A clubs.

Numerous coworkers and fans have paid respect to the celebrity. In a letter, Fiorentina expressed their sorrow over Sinia Mihajlovi’s passing. One person tweeted that he was their hero growing up. Someone who commented on the tweet expressed their gratitude for having known him.
Additionally, Mihajlovi competed for Yugoslavia in the 1998 World Cup and the 2000 Euro. He was well known for his dead-ball prowess. He played for Sampdoria in between stints at Rome and Lazio in his playing career.

In a statement, Series A expressed their shock and sadness over Mihajlovi’s loss. His passing will have an everlasting impact on Italian football as well as the entire footballing community because of his strength and humanity.
Who is Sinia Mihaklovi?
Sinia Mihajlovi was a Serbian professional football player and manager. He played as a midfielder or defence during his football career. He played most of his career in the Italian Serie A, making 353 games for Roma, Sampdoria, Lazio, and Inter Milan, winning league titles with the latter two clubs.
In 1991, he won the European Cup with Red Star Belgrade. He owns the record for the most goals scored from free kicks in Serie A history with 28 goals. He is regarded by many as one of the best free-kick takers of all time.

In addition to participating in the 1998 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Euro 2000 tournaments, he earned 63 caps and scored 10 goals for Yugoslavia between 1991 and 2003. His first four caps came while playing for SFR Yugoslavia.

Mihajlovi stopped playing in 2006 and joined Inter as an assistant manager. From 2008 to 2022, he was the manager of six Serie A teams, including Bologna, Fiorentina, Torino, and AC Milan. In addition, he served as the Serbian national football team’s coach from May 2012 to November 2013.
