Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 Release Date: Who Are the Cast Members in This Season?

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 was announced by Hulu right after the premiere of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 2. The drama, which is based on Margaret Atwood’s 1985 novel of the same name (which is getting a sequel! ), is by far Hulu’s most popular original drama to date.

The third season of “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “The Seismic Shift in Gilead”

In The Handmaid’s Tale, Offred, a character created by Moss, lives in a dystopian future after the Second American Civil War. In this future, women are called “Handmaids,” and they are forced into sexual and child-bearing servitude. In the first season, we meet Offred, whose real name is June Osborne. She works as a Handmaid for Commander Fred Waterford and his wife Serena Joy.

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 Release Date

The third season of The Handmaid’s Tale started on Wednesday, June 5, and there were three new episodes right away. The show will then go back to airing once a week for the rest of the season. There will be 13 episodes in Season 3 of The Handmaid’s Tale.

Craig Erwich, Hulu’s Senior Vice President of Originals, said at his 2019 TCA Winter Press Tour executive session that the move to June wasn’t to avoid Game of Thrones in April. “We wanted to give the show as much time as possible to keep the quality it has. I’ve been able to watch the first two episodes, and they’re great.

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 Cast

Christopher Meloni (Happy!, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) and Elizabeth Reaser (The Haunting of Hill House) will be guest stars in Handmaid’s Tale Season 3!

Meloni will play Commander Winslow, who is “a strong and magnetic Commander who hosts the Waterfords on an important trip.” Reaser will play Mrs. Winslow, Commander Winslow’s wife, who becomes a friend and an inspiration to Serena Joy.

What happened to Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd), who was stabbed in the Season 2 finale? Executive producer Warren Littlefield told EW in a recent interview that Aunt Lydia will be back for Season 3.

“The first thing we said to Ann was, ‘You’re not dead, but it’s going to be a pretty brutal scene,'” Littlefield said. “She was totally up for it.”

We could have shot it in different ways to show that there was nothing there or that there were no signs of life. But at the bottom of the stairs, you can see that there are signs of life. Is there a lot at stake? Absolutely. But yeah, I think I may have just given away a big secret here. Aunt Lydia is a very important and powerful part of this world and show. But we are afraid for her life, and it is a real threat to her life. And that’s where we leave her—in a situation that could kill her.
