“Rest in Peace,” the last episode of The Walking Dead, aired last night. The show has been on TV for more than 10 years. As the conflict with the Commonwealth, which had been building up, came to an end, it was a tentative end for both new and old characters. But the franchise isn’t over yet because there are a lot of spinoffs coming up.
The most important question that was not answered was when Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira), who had been gone for a long time, would come back. Each of them had left the story years ago, leaving everyone else in the dark. Yes, Rick and Michonne did show up at the end of the last episode of the series.
Their daughter, Judith, played by Cailey Fleming, was the one who cared the most about where they were. She had recently started to think about them more and more. She even talked to Daryl (Norman Reedus) about both of them before he rode off on his motorcycle into spinoff land.

In the same way that we met her father for the first time in the amazing pilot episode all those years ago, she did so at the end of the penultimate episode when she was in the hospital after being shot. We then skipped over a lot of what actually happened and went forward a year to see scenes that many people had been waiting for all season.

Even if it wasn’t clear before, this piece will give away all of the endings. If you haven’t seen it yet, you should save this page and come back later. If you know everything about what we see of these two characters or are willing to find out everything, go ahead.
Where is Rick in The Walking Dead
Starting with Rick, the first shots we see are of him lighting a match and writing a letter by the fire with his eyes down. He seems to be trying to get a message to his family, who haven’t heard from him in years and may not even know he’s still alive. After some silence, he starts talking about his past and how it still bothers him.

He says, “I think of the dead all the time,” and then we see a flashback of his dead son Carl (Chandler Riggs) putting on his father’s famous hat while he was recovering from being shot in the second season. This is followed by a lot of other people, like his wife Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) and his old best friend Shane (Jon Bernthal), who all die the same way at the end of the world.

Rick keeps talking about how he lost them, and then Michonne, who is writing a similar letter, cuts in. We’ll talk more about Michonne in a minute. The montage keeps going as they both think about all the people they’ve left behind.

Rick has probably seen more people die than anyone else. He says, “I think about them all every day—their faces, what I learned from them, and how they made me who I am more than anything else.” The “this” is all the pain and suffering he has been through, which he is doing everything he can to put into perspective now that he is more alone than he has ever been.
He then looks right at the camera and says, “All of our lives come together in one life. We’re all parts of a whole that keep going because of what we gave each other. One unstoppable life. You proved it to me. “You gave that to me.” Rick then stops writing, and we learn more about where he is at the moment.

He walks barefoot through the mud while the dead walkers who are stuck there rot and growl at him. He throws the bottle into the water with the message he just wrote on it, and we hear a helicopter coming closer. Rick yells “no” and tries to run away, but he is already too late to avoid being seen. He desperately tries to throw his bag onto a nearby boat that has run aground, but a man in the helicopter talks to him directly through a loudspeaker.
“Consignee Grimes, we’ve found you and told you to turn yourself in! “Stay put and put your hands up!” Rick is angry about this order and as defiant as ever, so he uses a spear-like thing to smash the head off of a trapped walker. Then he looks back up at the helicopter, and a more personal voice gives us one more mysterious message: “Rick, come on.

He was right when he said, “There’s no way out for the living.” It’s not clear who “he” is, but the details can give us some idea of what’s going on. Rick is wearing the same jacket he was wearing when he was taken away a few seasons ago, and it looks like this may be the same group whose symbol was on the helicopter.

Even though it’s not certain yet, this may be the so-called Alliance of the Three that formed after the end of the world. Rick has been running away from them, so it looks like they fought. But then he breaks into a smile as what looks like Manhattan comes into view. He raises his hands as the helicopter starts to go down, and then everything goes white.
