This week, Morgan Evans might be singing the country blues. The “Kiss Somebody” singer opened out on social media about the divorce a few hours after Kelsea Ballerini announced it.
On August 29, he posted on his Instagram Stories, “I am very sad to confirm that after almost 5 years of marriage, Kelsea and I are parting ways.” “I wish it were otherwise, but regrettably it isn’t,”
Kelsea discussed the “very tough decision” to break their marriage in an earlier Instagram post.
The country singer said on her Instagram Story, “Friends, I’ve always tried my best to share my life with you in a real and vulnerable way, while still protecting layers of my personal life as they unfold. “I wanted you to hear from me directly that I am going through a divorce because this is already a public record.”

After meeting the “Day Drunk” singer in early 2016, Kelsea said, “This extremely tough decision is the consequence of a journey of love, growth, and effort that eventually has come to an end.” It’s difficult to express my gratitude in these words, but I am hopeful for the upcoming seasons and feel blessed for the years I have spent married to Morgan.
Kelsea added a request to the end of her message. She added, “Please be mindful that we are both vulnerable, actively mending, and showing up the best we can. We have very busy schedules coming up.”
Kelsea filed for divorce on August 26 citing “irreconcilable disagreements,” according to court documents acquired by E! News.

When the couple stopped sharing photos of one another on Instagram on a regular basis, some of the couple’s followers began to worry that there could be trouble in paradise. While Kelsea posted a rare picture of a couple in June, Morgan’s last post with his wife was from that month. Additionally, Morgan was seen performing at the Boots & Hearts Music Festival earlier this month without his wedding band.
Despite the limitations of social media, the couple had many wonderful times together while they were dating. In fact, Morgan gushed to E! News in the past about her marriage to an artist.

Morgan was thrilled when Kelsea gave her blessing to his song “Love Is Real” back in July 2021.

Morgan quipped to E! News, “She’s incredibly encouraging, but I also always say we’re one other’s biggest admirers and also each other’s biggest critics at the same time.” She truly means it when she says she loves them.
On September 23, Kelsea will release her brand-new album Subject to Change. As for Morgan, he will be traveling during the Labor Day holiday and appearing on September 3 at the Boots and Brews Country Music Festival in Santa Clarita, California.
