It is 53 km from Chennai to Mahabalipuram. The Chengalpattu Junction is 30 km away from Mahabalipuram and is the closest train station. The Chennai Central Railway Station,

which is about 56 km away, is the main train station. The airport that is closest to Mahabalipuram is the Chennai International Airport, which is about 60 km away.
