Loki Season 2 Story
With the kind of official debut of Jonathan Majors as comic book villain Kang the Conqueror in Loki episode 6, fans finally got what they had been waiting for for a very long time.
The quirky character from the series finale may not be the merciless, crazed antagonist from the comic books, but rather a little more sane version going by the name of He Who Remains.
He Who Remains and Kang are separate characters in the original material, however, it appears that the characters have been combined for the MCU version in order to make the plot flow more smoothly.
There is a good side to this version of Kang as he works to stop the start of a catastrophic multiversal war, even though his totalitarian control over reality as the TVA’s puppet master may undoubtedly be viewed as wicked.

As the Sacred Timeline splits into multiple different realities, one of which is certain to include an even more dangerous version of himself, he says “see you soon” as Sylvie kills him in the final minutes.
Given that Kang’s involvement in the upcoming Ant-Man movie, scheduled for release in early 2023, has already been confirmed, it is unknown whether Loki season two will offer Kang a more major part.
Episode 6 of Loki starred Tom Hiddleston and Sophia Di Martino.
Loki episode 6 stars Tom Hiddleston and Sophia Di Martino.
The consequences of a modified reality in which neither Agent Mobius nor Hunter B-15 can recall who Loki is will be explored in Tom Hiddleston’s epic sci-fi drama even if the Kang subplot is moved to the big screen.
Loki may have landed up in a parallel world where his exploits with the TVA never took place, according to the shocking finale scene, but it’s unclear whether Sylvie intended for him to go there or whether this is an indication that the cosmos is already out of control.
The TVA headquarters now houses a massive statue of Kang, which originally housed a shrine to the fictitious Time-Keepers. This hints that possibly an arrogant time traveler is responsible for the meddling.
Judge Ravonna Renslayer, who fled the TVA offices through a TemPad portal in search of free will, has also been left in the dark.
It’s probable that the two villains may first meet in Loki’s second season as she becomes Kang the Conqueror’s right-hand woman and a love interest in the comics.
Kate Herron, the show’s creator from season one, won’t be back for the upcoming episode, but she expressed her concerns about where the plot will go in an interview with Collider.
I would say Marvel and Disney made that decision, and I thought that was the ultimate praise for everyone’s work on the program, she remarked. “They were merely enthused by the narratives and the incredible work that the authors and actors were putting forth.
And because there are so many unsolved questions, I thought that was really cool. Where did Renslayer go, like? What memories does B-15 have? She is who? Further still, where the hell is Loki?
“Yeah, I think there’s definitely more road to travel,” Herron continued. And as everyone knows, in the comics, even with six hours, we scratched the surface of who Loki is, so I think there’s so much more to be explored.

Loki Season 2 Renewal Status
Loki Season 2 will air on Disney Plus in 2023 during the summer. When he presented the full schedule for every upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film in Phase Five at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige himself verified this.
The Alaqua Cox-led Echo, which was planned to air before The God of Mischief but will now air in the fall or winter, was also scheduled to return in the summer of 2023. It might now debut as early as May or as late as August given that Secret Invasion is scheduled for the spring and Loki is scheduled for the summer.

Having said that, don’t be shocked if Loki season 2 debuts around the tail end of the summer because Disney Plus has Ironheart, Echo, and Agatha: Coven of Chaos coming in the fall/winter. It would make more sense for the show to debut earlier because delaying its release could lead to numerous back-to-back episodes in the second part of the year.
That’s only a guess, so it would be best to wait until Marvel or Disney Plus announce the return date for the MCU program’s second season. In either case, Loki will return as soon as possible.
