Tima Shomali and Shirin Kamal will return to the series as showrunners and executive producers for the following season, working alongside author and executive producer Islam Alshomali, while Tima Shomali will also return to direct.

In a recent interview with The National, series director Shomali stated that he had “wanted to undertake a project that talks about women’s tales from the perspective of women for a long time.” And I wanted to accomplish it with a female crew.”

“One of the fantastic things that Tima and Shirin did in the program was breaking the paradigm of the two-dimensional female character,” Arabic Director Ahmed Sharkawi told The National. “None of the characters are either bad or completely good. “It’s a Netflix site that provides mental health materials for themes like bullying,” Sharkawi continues. “We are aware that the show addresses certain delicate issues, but we welcome this since it encourages discussion.”

Season 1 Recap of Alrawabi School for Girls

In the series’ penultimate episode, Mariam texts her bully’s brother, informing him that Layan missed class to be with her lover, following a run of triumphs and failures pursuing payback on her abusers.

Hazem, her brother, finds her and approaches her with a revolver. When he discovers her, he holds her at gunpoint. Layan may be seen pleading for her life, but Hazem’s motivation is clear: blood.

Her expression jolts him back to reality. Hazem bursts into tears since Layan is his sister. His hands quiver as he cautiously lowers his firearm. However, we hear a gunshot as the camera pans to the outside in the following scene.
