The new Urusei Yatsura anime showed a new trailer and gave details about the theme song for the second season, which will start airing on January 5. The new opening song “Aiwanamchu” by MAISONdes with asmi and Surii. We don’t know what the ending theme is called, but we do know that MAISONdes is playing it.
In addition to the new trailer and theme songs for the second season, the Urusei Yatsura anime showed off some new cast members.
- Aoi Yuki as Ten
- Ayahi Takagaki as Ryunosuke
- Shigeru Chiba as Ryunosuke’s father
The show is being animated by David Production, and it will have a total of 46 episodes. The first 23 episodes will be shown in two separate courses (12 are out at the moment). The anime is being shown on HIDIVE. The people who work on the anime are:

Urusei Yatsura is based on Rumiko Takahashi’s romance-comedy manga, which ran from September 1978 to February 1987. The first anime version ran from October 1981 to March 1986 and had 195 episodes. Studio DEEN and Pierrot were in charge of the animation.
In the 1990s, Viz Media published the manga series in North America under the title Lum and The Return of Lum. However, it was discontinued after nine volumes.
