Captain America is Capable of Curling a Helicopter: How Strong Is He?

Chris Evans’ Captain America is a cold-blooded killer. You were aware of that, though. He is a soldier after all, and the US Army and SHIELD both trained him to kill. Steve Rogers never had a moral objection to killing, unlike other superheroes like Batman or Superman.

No one objected when the Star-Spangled Man rammed two helicarriers into Washington, D.C., in 2014’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” unlike when the Man of Steel (Henry Cavill) snapped General Zod’s (Michael Shannon) neck in 2013 or when the Bat (Ben Affleck) bulldozed over a car of goons in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Cap bats about Nazis in “Captain America: The First Avenger” like it’s nothing. The fact that Captain America threw HYDRA soldiers out of the aircraft and flattened them with his shield probably didn’t worry fans too much. After all, American film heroes had been killing Nazis on screen for decades.

The truly messed-up aspect of Captain America appears in his later appearances when the morality of his heroic deeds is murkier and he amasses a death toll that may reach thousands.

Captain America is Capable of Curling a Helicopter: How Strong Is He?

Captain America exemplifies the physical potential of humans to the fullest. He has outswum a submarine that was plunging, choked robots, and boomerang-thrown his vibranium shield. But first, we must ascertain Captain America’s strength in order to determine how dangerous he is.

Let’s get right to the point: Captain America can curl a chopper. According to Nerdist research, Bucky’s (Sebastian Stan) helicopter in “Captain America: Civil War” would need to be grounded by an amount greater than the 3,000 pounds that the Airbus AS350 can lift.

What might he do to a regular person if he is capable of doing that? Captain America could theoretically crush a human skull with as much ease as tearing one in half, but according to Japanese research, it requires up to 1,200 pounds of power.

The strength of Captain America’s shield is not well known. It is clear that Captain America can kick a vehicle with over one tonne of force, for example, thanks to SpaceBattles, but it is less clear what would happen if you threw your shield at someone’s chest or neck.

But according to fans on the Marvel subreddit, things don’t seem good for Captain America’s adversaries. u/FoxEngland said, “I recently rewatched Civil War and can’t comprehend how bad men survive his strikes.” “He uses his incredible strength to hurl his shield at people’s heads! Nobody is getting through that!”

Captain America Has Killed a Lot of People

Many people have been killed by Captain America. Doctor and YouTuber Dr. Hope’s Sick Notes came to the conclusion that every single HYDRA agent in that elevator is facing fractures galore, some with lasting brain trauma, severe spinal injuries, or potential cardiac arrest.

He calls it a “rapid fight scene trauma diagnosis” of the elevator scene from “Winter Soldier.” And Cap accomplished all of that while holding one hand firmly behind his back (or magnetized to the wall).

One analysis on r/theydidthemath by Reddit user u/ikeisco is considerably drier. Based on the moment in “The Avengers” where Steve Rogers throws a punching bag across the room, the user hypothesized that Steve Rogers can punch with 9,100 pounds of force.

Therefore, unless Steve is holding back on his punches and kicks, almost every conflict he has with a human foe will most certainly end in death. Remember in “The Winter Soldier” when he threw a guy off a ship and onto a railing?

He has passed away. The scene in “Civil War” where he throws a man into a concrete pillar face-first? Absolutely dead. Whenever he swings his shield toward someone’s head or neck? Mega-dead.

Even if the majority of fans support the all-American hero’s murderous rampage, he is also accountable for some catastrophic destruction. In the film’s climactic scene, Cap is shown smashing two SHIELD Helicarriers and driving them to crash into Washington, D.C., perhaps killing thousands of uninvolved civilians.

Cap’s death toll in “The Winter Soldier” alone, according to YouTuber Mr. Sunday Movies’ estimation, was 14,007. Even if that estimate is generous, one thing is certain: Cap is truly putting the “red” in red, white, and blue.
