Animal Kingdom Season 6 Storyline

When “Animal Kingdom” returns for its sixth season, the Cody family will face some extraordinarily tough foes. At the conclusion of Season 5, the police finally locate Catherine Blackwell’s body. She was the late Barry “Baz” Blackwell’s (Scott Speedman) wife and J’s biological father as well as Smurf’s adopted son.

After a failed effort at seduction on Catherine’s behalf, Pope chokes her to death in Season 1 for stealing money from Smurf. A new housing development connected to the Codys is where Catherine’s body is found buried. This awful news can signal the beginning of a season of retaliation for the entire family.

After much negotiation, J and Deran agree to jointly head the Cody gang after Smurf’s passing. Deran, the family’s troublemaker who at first rejects any involvement in the criminal operation of the Smurfs, even consents to use his pub as a means of money laundering for the gang.

In another episode, Craig’s drug abuse reaches crisis proportions, forcing his longtime partner Renn (Christina Ochoa) to part ways with him. Next year, when “Animal Kingdom,” which is currently in its sixth and final season, returns, all of these narrative elements will probably be significantly resolved.
