Letitia Wright Believes That Production on Black Panther 3 “Might Already Be Underway”

When it hit the big screen in 2018, Ryan Coogler’sBlack Panther” was a game-changer. It not only had amazing production design and was entertaining, but it also created history by being the first Marvel Cinematic Universe film with a cast that was primarily made up of people of color.

As a result, excitement was strong when rumors of a second “Black Panther” movie surfaced. But when Chadwick Boseman, the actor who played King T’Challa, unexpectedly passed away in 2020, the euphoria quickly gave way to doubt. Without its focal point, how could the franchise continue?

Following Boseman’s passing, the “Black Panther” cast and crew made it clear that the sequel would go on. In reality, they would utilize it to pay tribute to their late co-memory stars and their influence on culture. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” a triumphant superhero epic about loss, grief, family, and love, is what came of it in 2022.

Variety had the chance to chat with Letitia Wright regarding the chances of a third “Black Panther” film before the 2023 Golden Globes awards event on January 10, 2023. It’s sufficient to state that her feedback on the project is really positive. She added that she tries to think and speak positively in life and added, “I think it’s already in the works.”

She is taking it upon herself to talk “Black Panther 3” into reality because she firmly believes that excellent words may transform into actual, palpable objects. I’m manifesting a “Black Panther 3,” Wright said, adding, “Why not?” Wright isn’t letting fans’ anticipation levels go too high, though, especially when it comes to when “Black Panther 3” will be released.

She recalled how amazing it was to bring “Wakanda Forever” to life over the past couple of years: “We need a little bit of a break, we need to regroup, and Ryan Coogler has to get back into the lab, so it’s going to take a little while, but we’re really thrilled for you guys to see it.”
