James Gunn is Back to Shooting Down More Rumors Spreading About the Upcoming Slate of Dc Films

James Gunn is back to dispelling additional speculations that are circulating regarding the impending DC picture slate. Gunn has been answering inquiries from eager and thrilled fans about what is to come ever since he and producer Peter Safran assumed control of DC Studios. Gunn hasn’t said anything yet, but he does want to reveal the first element of his strategy for the first batch of films produced under his direction.

What is known is that Gunn will pen the script for the upcoming Superman film and may also direct it. It appeared as though “The Witcher” star, who played Man of Steel in “Black Adam” of 2022, was set to make his triumphant return to the red cape after Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel made an appearance in the post-credit scene.

Then, to to The Rock’s dismay, Gunn revealed that DC movies would undergo a major restructuring, destroying plans for a “Superman vs. Black Adam” feature and raising doubts about Gal Gadot’s portrayal of “Wonder Woman.”

Jacob Elordi, who starred in the “The Kissing Booth” trilogy, reportedly won the part in Gunn’s next “Superman.” The “Guardians of the Galaxy” director addressed the rumors on Twitter, though.

Rumors Persisting About the Casting of a New Man of Steel

James Gunn, the co-head of DC Studios and the new “Superman” screenwriter, used his Twitter account to dispel some of the persistent speculations regarding the hiring of a new Man of Steel. He clarified the situation by stating that no one has yet been cast in the part. Gunn stated: “Casting will take place after the script is finished or nearly finished, which is virtually always the case with me, but it doesn’t.

In a short while, we’ll make a few announcements, but not one of them will be the casting of Superman.” It appears that the public will have to wait a bit before learning who will replace Superman. There will undoubtedly be a lot of rumors and false starts as we wait.

The rumor that “Euphoria” star Jacob Elordi was cast in the role started making the rounds when gossip scooper Instagram account Deuxmoi posted that “a certain Australian actor” with references to Elordi’s past work had been cast in the role.

Deuxmoi was among the first to announce the casting of Lady Gaga in “Joker 2” and the arrival of Barry Keoghan as the Joker in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman.” Elordi’s possible casting received mixed reviews from fans, many of whom felt that despite his height, Elordi was too slim for the part.
