We can take a closer peek at the upcoming adventure in a new teaser for the movie as its March release date draws nearer.

We get our first clear glimpse of Helen Mirren‘s Hespera and Lucy Liu’s Kalypso in the new clip, the daughters of Atlas. Asher Angel’s Billy, who is now an adult, is transforming to fight a dragon wreaking devastation on the city, and we also get a brief glimpse of Djimon Hounsou’s Shazam.

DC Studios is undergoing a significant transition of its own in response to Warner Bros Discovery’s significant restructuring from the previous year. James Gunn and Peter Safran, the newly appointed co-CEOs, will provide a new path for the DC movie franchise.

However, Levi made it quite clear that Shazam! won’t be recast during the most recent restructuring, so fans need not fear. The next film is one of the studio’s main releases this year, along with Aquaman 2 and The Flash, according to new WBD CEO David Zaslav. It’s not yet apparent, though, which way the franchise will turn.

Shazam! Warner Bros. will release Fury of the Gods on March 17, 2023.
