The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’s second season is now in development, according to a recent Disney+ announcement. The announcement comes before the premiere of the first season finale on April 20, 2022.

The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is a celebrated remake of the Disney Channel staple from the early 2000s, The Proud Family. 2001 saw the debut of the original series, which continued until 2005. The Proud family and their diverse group of in-laws, neighbors, and friends were the subjects of the television show. Creator Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar are responsible for the series.

The entire family—including Puff the poodle—is back and eager for fresh adventures, including her parents Oscar and Trudy, twin siblings BeBe and CeCe, grandmother Suga Mama, and all of her relatives. Of course, Penny’s friends are also included, such as Zoey Howzer, Dijonay Jones, and LaCienega Boulevardez.

For the new revival, many of the original voice actors from the series made a comeback, including Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama, and Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud. Chance the Rapper, Gabrielle Union, Normani, Leslie Odom Jr., Anthony Anderson, and Maury Povich are just a few of the special guests who will appear in the second season.

Who is Star Cast in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder Season 2?

All of the primary cast members from the previous season are not only coming back but they’ll be joined by a staggering number of special guest stars as well.

The Proud Family’s recurring cast members are Kyla Pratt (Recovery Road), who plays the lead character Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson (In Living Color), who plays her overprotective father Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker (Family Time), who plays her more understanding mother Trudy Proud, and of course, Jo Marie Payton (Family Matters).

who plays the jovial grandmother Suga Momma and her dependable poodle, The less chatty toddlers of the family are also a member of the family, with Aiden Dodson continuing to appear on the show as Bebe in their first IMDb credited role and Bresha Webb (Night School) as the twin sister Cece. Bobby Proud, Oscar’s music-loving brother, will be played by The Last O.G.’s Cedric the Entertainer.

After reprising their roles from the first show, the key members of the Proud Family won’t be the only ones returning to the successful series. Alisa Reyes (All That) plays LaCienega Boulevardez, Carlos Mencia (Mind of Mencia) plays Felix Boulevardez, Maria Canals-Barrera (Wizards of Waverly Place) plays Sunset Boulevardez, Alvaro Gutierrez (The Proud Family) plays Papi (along with Gravity Falls’ Kevin Michael Richardson as his iconic laugh), Raquel L. Garcia (Punky Brewster) plays Zoey Howzer.
