Recap: What Happened in Blue Lock Episode 15
The 2v2 game keeps going with the score tied, and we can see that Naruhaya and Isagi are trying to beat the geniuses they are playing with. If they want to stay alive in the Blue Lock project, they can only think about one thing: how to catch up to Barou and Nagi. This makes them do things they don’t want to do and goes against what they know about the game.
Naruhaya’s desire to play soccer professionally is shown in a flashback when we see that he and his siblings are living in a poor apartment after his parents died in an accident. Naruhaya does some part-time work, and the oldest sister has a full-time job.

This made Naruhaya want to follow his dream of becoming a professional soccer player so he could give his siblings a good life. When we look back at the game, we see that the scores are once again tied. Whoever scores first wins the game. Naruhaya has a chance to score, so he uses Isagi’s direct shoot weapon to make up for his weakness and catch up to the geniuses. The ball hits the pole, though, so he can’t score.
Isagi, on the other hand, moves toward the goal and uses the blind spot weapon of Naruhaya to beat Barou one-on-one and score. After he wins, Isagi chooses Barou as his new teammate, which makes sense. In the meantime, Kunigami and Chigiri join forces with Reo, who wants to get back at Nagi for leaving him.
