The Last Kingdom Season 6 Plotline

The Saxon Stories, a novel series by Bernard Cornwell, served as inspiration for The Last Kingdom. The first ten books have been covered across the show’s five seasons so far. Three more volumes remain to be adapted from the series before a film adaptation can be made.

Since the film is set after the events of Season 5, it is likely that Dreymon, along with many other members of the Season 5 cast, will make an appearance.

Nigel Marchant announced at MCM London Comic-Con that Season 5 would be the last. A final season was deemed necessary because, as he put it, “there was always one more tale we wanted to tell.” This was combined with the encouragement of Netflix and the anticipation of the audience for more episodes. The Last Kingdom Season 6 Teaser, commonly known as Seven Kings Must Die, maybe a long time coming for fans.

Conclusion

Even though we can’t wait to watch how the movie wraps up the story of The Last Kingdom, we’ll be sad to see the series come to an end because of the loss of escapism it provided. Remember, the series finale will be a 2-hour special titled “Seven Kings Must Die,” and it has a lot of pressure to live up to high expectations.
