87North, comprised of Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, and Guy Danella, is the production company behind the film. The production company 87North has also made successful action movies including “Nobody” and “Bullet Train.”

Violent Night was written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, while Tommy Wirkola helmed the film. The action films Dead Snow and Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters are Wir kola’s earlier works. The Sonic the Hedgehog film series, written by Casey and Miller, is one of the most financially successful animated film franchises of all time.
