Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Release Date
For those who enjoyed “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime,” there is both good and bad news. A third season has not been confirmed as of October 2022. A cinematic adaptation, however, is in the works.
A theatrical film titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond was announced after the Season 2 conclusion.

On November 25, 2022, the film will have its Japanese premiere. Crunchyroll has announced that the film will debut for audiences outside of Japan in the first quarter of 2023.

Reincarnated As A Slime Storyline: What Can We Expect From It?
This isekai fantasy series by Fuse features artwork by Mitz Vah and is titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken in Japanese).
A 37-year-old office worker named Satoru Mikami has a very great life in this anime. The bad news is that after just one day on the job, everything is about to change for him.
After meeting with a coworker, Satoru is stabbed; in his final moments, he hears a mysterious voice give him magical commands, which he then follows.
He does not perish but rather enters another planet upon awakening. Unfortunately, instead of his former human form, he now possesses the form of a slime monster.
Along with his new slimy body, he boasts new talents, including the potential to take on any shape that he eats!

The first thing he meets in the new realm is the terrifying “Storm Dragon” Veldora.
When Satoru learns that Veldora has been imprisoned for hundreds of years for a crime she did not commit, she decides to come to the dragon’s aid.
As a token of her appreciation, Veldora bestows upon Satoru the moniker “Rimuru Tempest,” which she says will shield him from the wrath of the gods.

With his new identity as a slime, he faces the world as Rimuru.
In its original form, That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime was a web novel series that ran from 2013 to 2016. After achieving phenomenal success, the works were reissued as light novels and now number over 20.
After its initial success in manga form, the series was adapted into an equally popular anime. More than twenty-one volumes of the manga have been released so far, and there have also been five spin-off series created.
Eight Bit’s anime adaption debuted in 2019 and ran for a total of 24 episodes. The second season of the show premiered in 2021, and other OAD episodes were produced in the interim.

Also airing in 2021 was the anime spinoff Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
Among the various honors That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime has received is “Best Fantasy” at the 2022 Crunchyroll Anime Awards and the “BookWalker Award” in 2018.
