Dear David Plotline: What Can We Expect From This?
Dear David began as the Twitter story of Adam Ellis, a former employee of BuzzFeed, who was visited by the ghost of a young kid named David. Movie Insider claims a similar basis for their film.

It appears the film’s plot will be similar to the original, however, it will not star Ellis himself. Though Ellis didn’t have time to finish the story before BuzzFeed bought the rights, the full discussion is still available on Twitter for those interested in further detail.

In this and several other threads leading up to December 2017, Ellis describes in detail his encounters with the ghost that has been plaguing him. Until David starts making his presence known at all hours of the day, the ghost only appears to him at night in dreams or during bouts of sleep paralysis.
