Blindspotting Season 2 Release Date: What Can We Expect From This Season?

The second season premiere of the Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs sitcom will air on Starz on Friday, April 14 at 9/8c, the network announced on Wednesday. Brand new episodes will premiere every Friday at 9 p.m. and be available on demand through the Starz app. (The first season debuted in 2021)

The events in Blindspotting take place six months after the events of the Casal and Diggs film from 2018. Jasmine Cephas Jones plays Ashley, who “was on the cusp of a middle-class life in Oakland with her partner of 12 years and the father of their son, Sean (Atticus Woodward), until Miles (Casal) was suddenly incarcerated,” leaving her to “navigate a chaotic life” after moving in with Miles’ mother, Rainey (Hunt), and sister, Trish (Jaylen Barron).

Blindspotting Season 2 Release Date

Starz, the network behind the hit comedy-drama Blindspotting, has published new photos from the upcoming second season. In addition to the updated visuals, the release date for Season 2 has been set for April 14, 2023.

The New Images Promise More Chaos For Blindspotting Season 2

All sorts of things are hinted at in the new photos that were just revealed for Season 2. Ashley’s drinking at a strip joint, public appearances in a nun costume, and a finger gun battle are just some of the recurring antics depicted in the photos.

Rainey (Hunt) and Nancy (Margo Hall) are shown in another photo seated on a park bench. The last photo of Casal in jail uniform shows him in the midst of what appears to be a tense exchange. Already, fresh guest actors and recurring roles for the upcoming season have been announced, with LeVar Burton set to make an appearance, as reported by Jerseyshorevibe.

Starting on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 9:00 pm ET/PT, STARZ will sequentially air the first episodes of Season 2. Episode two will air right after the premiere, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. The new episodes of Season 2 will continue to air every Friday at 9:00 pm ET/PT. The STARZ app will also have the latest episodes accessible for streaming.

What Can We Expect From Blindspotting Season 2?

Ashley is flipping out trying to raise their son on her own nine months after she and Miles got married in prison in the season one finale. She’s losing it and is blaming everyone else for her distress.

Miles is settling into prison life and looking forward to the first family visitation weekend at San Quentin. Ashley has all the power, but Rainey is doing everything she can to make her and Sean feel at home and to maintain contact with her son who is currently incarcerated.
