Who Are the Makers of the Film?
Sony Pictures and AFFIRM Films will co-produce the untitled biopic. The film will be directed by George Tillman Jr., who is most known for his directing work on television shows like For Life and This is Us as well as his work as a producer on movies like The Hate U Give and On the Come Up.
Dan Gordon wrote the first draught of the screenplay for the movie before being replaced by Tillman Jr. and Frank Baldwin, who finalized it. The movie is being made by Peter Guber and David Zelon under the Mandalay Pictures label.
