The Last of Us Episode 5 Release Date: What’s Next for Joel and Ellie in It?

Two days before Super Bowl LVII, the network will air the next episode of the critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic series.

This coming Friday, February 10 at 9 a.m. ET, The Last of Us Episode 5 Release Date will be available on HBO Max and HBO On Demand. The scheduled broadcast time of Sunday, February 12 at 9 p.m. ET on the HBO cable network remains unchanged. This ensures that fans of Bella Ramsey (Ellie) and Pedro Pascal (Joel) may watch their latest adventure before Sunday’s big game pitting the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

The show’s third episode, “Long Long Time,” has received a lot of positive feedback for its depiction of a gay couple’s relationship 20 years after a catastrophic Cordyceps outbreak.

The episode’s cross-platform audience of 6.4 million increased from the previous week’s 5.7 million and the series premiere’s 4.7 million. The show has been picked up for a second season since it is currently drawing an audience of over 15 million across all platforms.

HBO’s The Last of Us is based on a video game by Naughty Dog, and the game’s designer, Neil Druckmann, also acts as a showrunner on the series alongside the show’s creator, Craig Mazin. The pilot season consists of nine episodes.

What’s Next for Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us?

This week, the show will introduce Melanie Lynskey and Jeffrey Pierce as it prepares to take on the Pittsburgh region of the game. A fresh character, Kathleen, played by Lynskey, seems to pose a significant threat to Joel and Ellie as they try to evade her and her guys around town.

Some of the raiders in the town have names and personalities, rather than merely being created as a collection of random bad men for the couple to fight through, suggesting that this may be the Pittsburgh Quarantine Zone sequence and marking yet another departure from the game.

With the recent renewal for a second season, The Last of Us has a promising future both now and in the future. The Last of Us Part II takes place years later and explores the cycle of revenge between Ellie, Joel, and a new character named Abby; the Left Behind downloadable content (DLC) follows Ellie in a flashback exploring her days with her close friend and love interest Riley; and so much more remains for Druckmann and Mazin to draw from.

If this review is true and the HBO series follows the game’s storyline, then the fifth episode of The Last of Us will focus on a character named Ellie. Max will begin slowly but gradually accelerate. After facing off against a radical organization, Joel and Ellie will hopefully be able to continue with their trip. The shocking conclusion of this episode will leave viewers frustrated that they have to wait a whole week for the next installment.

More infected and more people seeking to murder them and grab what they have are likely to be waiting for the two when they emerge from their cave. The show will set up the last chapters of the first season as they come to this realization. Oh, and if you thought the individuals in Episode 4 were terrible, you haven’t seen anything yet. for more details visit our website
