Although it wasn’t confirmed until February 2021, development on the anime based on Koharu Inoue’s popular manga likely began a few months earlier, with the series making its television premiere in July.
The fact that a second season was announced so soon after the end of the first suggests that the JC Staff had already begun planning for the second broadcast, which should mean that viewers won’t have to wait as long for it.
In a similar vein, the fact that the manga’s source material is already out there gives fans optimism that they won’t have to wait forever for Bocchana and Alice to make another appearance.
The Duke of Death and His Maid will likely return to television in either January 2023 as part of the Winter schedule or April 2023 as part of the Spring schedule.
