The Bushin Festival is happening, and Claire gave Cid her ticket or, more accurately, forced him to go to the God of War tournament. There, he meets the legendary Princess Iris and learns he has VIP tickets. Everyone is looking forward to Princess Iris’ fight, and she is sure she will win the tournament.
But she doesn’t know what will happen at the festival. Also, Mundane Man starts to get people talking among viewers and contestants. But no one can say for sure if he is strong or just fast and lucky. But Princess Iris knew right away that he was an amazing person.
Before we get into what’s going to happen and when episode 20 will come out, here’s a quick summary of what’s going on. Minoru, like most boys his age, wants to be strong. But he takes this desire to a higher level. He trains a hard day and night to reach his goals and go beyond his limits, but he still wants to be a minor character.
But one day, he died in an accident that ended all his hopes. However, to his surprise, he didn’t die. Instead, he wakes up in a completely new world as Cid Kagenou and is given a lot of power.
To make the most of his new life, he starts a group called the Shadow Garden and starts to recruit people to join it so that they can defeat The Cult of Diablos, an imaginary enemy that Cid made up in his head. But Cid is the only one who thinks the Cult of Diablos doesn’t exist.
As news of the Shadow Garden’s growing power and popularity spreads, Cid soon finds out that his made-up enemy is very real and that everyone else has known about it the whole time.

Recap: What Happened in The Eminence In Shadow Episode 19?
The nineteenth episode is called “Dancing Puppet.” Princess Iris is practicing swordplay before the tournament, and as she goes through her memories, she remembers how she became famous. She tells herself that she will show that she has the power and that she will win.
Iris joins Cid in the VIP section, and she tells him that she was there because she had another match. Suddenly, Beatrix, the goddess of war, shows up, and the authorities stop her. But Iris says she invited her. Beatrix says she’s looking for her niece.
In another place, Lord Perv Asshat is drugging the king to make him obey. He is just a puppet king, and everything is a trap to get Rose back to the palace so Lord Perv can give her to the Cult of Diablos. He is planning to make the puppet leader the next king of Midgar.
It was Princess Iris’s turn at the tournament, and everyone was cheering for her. She’s going to face the Mundane Man, and she’s sure she’ll win. As soon as the match starts, Iris gets cut and her head separates from her body. Next, we see someone in disguise walking to the palace.
Back at the match, Iris realizes that what she saw was just an illusion, but it was enough to make her confused and scared. She moves forward to attack again, but the same thing happens to her leg. In the meantime, the person in disguise goes to where the VIP seats are and sees a lot of dead bodies on the floor.
She believes that the Cult of Diablos did it. Iris goes in for her final attack, but the Mundane Man easily avoids it, and with one simple move, he kills Princess Iris. Later, we find out that the woman in disguise was actually Princess Rose. She attacks and kills her father, the king, after asking him to forgive her for all her mistakes.
